Metal Detector Regatta is an application designed to identify metal objects in your vicinity, utilizing the magnetic sensor integrated into your mobile device. By measuring the magnetic field value in microtesla (μT), this tool effectively detects the presence of metal. The Earth's natural magnetic field level is approximately 49 μT, with 1μT equivalent to 10mG (milli gauss). When close to any metal object, the magnetic field value displayed on the screen will increase.

The operation of Metal Detector Regatta is straightforward: launch the application on your mobile device and move it around. As you do so, you will observe the magnetic field level constantly fluctuating on the screen. This information is presented through colorful lines representing three dimensions and numerical values indicating the magnetic field level (EMF). Additionally, the chart will signal metal proximity through vibration and sound alerts. Users have the option to customize vibration sensitivity and sound effects within the settings.

Potential applications of this tool include locating electrical wires within walls, identifying iron pipes underground, or simply having fun by using it as a "ghost detector" for playful pranks. The accuracy of Metal Detector Regatta depends on the quality of the sensor in your mobile device. It's important to note that electromagnetic waves and electronic equipment can impact the performance of the magnetic sensor.

While Metal Detector Regatta can effectively identify most metals due to their magnetic properties, it may not detect non-ferrous materials such as gold, silver, and copper coins which lack a magnetic field. However, users may still stumble upon metal containers concealing treasures!
